Paradise Philippines: Wake Me up when September Ends

That line in the song of Greenday, makes me think of the number of overseas Filipino workers who will be coming home for the Christmas season in this paradise Philippines. September, the rightful start of the ‘ber’ months, signifies the coming of the Yuletide celebration. As the whole world knows, Christmas in the Philippines is like no other. We start off early (as I’ve said, as early as September), and end the celebrations at a later date – by the end of January in the preceding year. Paradise Philippines: SM Mall of Asia

Most of us, Pinoys are lakwatsera(travelers) at heart. “Tara pahangin tayo.. Punta tayo sa Mall.” or “Tara pasyal tayo sa Mall” are common phrases you will hear from Pinoys encouraging a friend or a family member to go to a nearest mall with no shopping intentions. We are easily thrilled by walking at the mall, window shopping and/or chatting with a friend or family.
